Black Joy Parade

Dollhouse Day x 2026 Black Joy Parade: The "Joy Ride" Giveaway

The Mission: Black is the Blueprint for Play

This year, the 9th Annual Black Joy Parade theme is "Black is the Blueprint," and at Dollhouse Day, we believe representation is the foundation of that blueprint. On Sunday, February 22, 2026, we are taking to the streets of Downtown Oakland with a classic car and a heart full of joy. Our classic car will serve as a mobile treasure chest, filled with diverse dolls that we will hand out to children along the Black Joy Parade route in Oakland.

Be a Part of the Magic 🪄

We want to make sure no child leaves the parade without a reminder of how beautiful and seen they are. We’re filling our classic car to the brim with dolls that represent the Black experience in all its forms for all kids at the parade. We need your help to make that happen!

How you can help:

• Donate a Doll: Use our wishlists: dolls ship straight to Dollhouse Project to fill up the car!

• Walk With Us: We are looking for volunteers to help hold our parade banner!

• Cheer Us On: Join the thousands in downtown Oakland to celebrate community, culture, and joy on February 22, 2026.
